Buddhist Meditation Classes In Belfast
An introduction to meditation in the Samatha tradition (Samatha means calm / tranquility)
Samatha meditation practice is about mindfulness of breathing, which is a simple but powerful technique to promote calm and well being through the balance of present moment awareness and concentration. It is an effective but gentle way of training the mind to generate stillness and peace.
The Belfast Samatha Meditation Group meets on Thursday night at 7.30pm. The venue for the group is Bridgewood House, Newforge Business Park, Newforge Lane, Belfast. If you need more detailed directions just let me know.
The group is a beginners group and is open to anyone to come alone to at any time. There is no charge for the teachings, but people can make a small donation to help cover the costs etc.
