Buddhist Meditation Classes In Bristol

Day of practice in Bristol

Exploring Mindfulness and Concentration : Rupert Gethin and Chris Gilchrist will lead a day of samatha meditation practice on Saturday, 3 March 2012, 10.00 am - 5.00 pm, at the University of Bristol Multifaith Chaplaincy, The Grange, 1 Woodland Road, Bristol, BS8 1AU


The day will be suitable for those new to samatha as well as those who may have been practising for some time.

Samatha meditation is a breathing-mindfulness practice from the Thai Theravadin tradition that has been taught in Britain for over fifty years. There is a weekly class at the Bristol University Chaplaincy duing university terms. For more on Samatha in Britain, see www.samatha.org.
