Beginning Meditation Classes in Berkeley:

A new series of introductory classes in samatha meditation will be offered on Wednesday evenings during February-April, beginning on February 3.  Beginning meditators are welcome to join the class at any time.

Location: The Upper Room, Grace North Church, 2138 Cedar Street (at Walnut), Berkeley.  (On February 17 only, at a different location to be announced.) 

Start time: 7:00 pm.  End time: approximately 9:30 pm.

Meditation Practice Day:

A full day of meditation practice will be held at Canyon School, in the town of Canyon, on Sunday, March 7, from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm. This event will be open to anyone who has attended at least one session of introductory instruction in samatha meditation.

Canyon school is set in a rural location, surrounded by redwood forest, near the town of Moraga, and approximately ten minutes by car from Oakland's Montclair district (near Highway 13).
