Samatha Buddhist Meditation in Chicago

 

One Day Meditation Course

An introduction to Samatha meditation will be held in Chicago on the afternoon of Sunday April 11th.

Instruction will be offered for both complete beginners and those who have some familiarity with samatha meditation. There will be a special session for those who attended our previous meditation day on January 16th.

April Meditation Course

An introductory course in Samatha meditation will be held in April.

Classes meet each weekday morning at 8am.

The session will start on Monday April 5th, and finish on May 5th

Classes meet in the University of Chicago Interreligious Center in the basement of the Rockefeller Chapel.

Beginners welcome at any time.

Weekly Beginner's Meditation Class

Classes meet each Monday evening at 8.15pm
in the Rockefeller Chapel Interreligious Center.

Classes resume 29th March 2010 (Monday of 1st week) and continue each Monday evening at 8.15pm until 31st May.

Beginners welcome at any time.

University of Chicago Interreligious Center

Many of our classes are held in the Interreligious Center.

The Interreligious Center is in the basement of the Rockefeller Chapel. Class meets in the Uncommon Room (formerly room 019). To get into the Chapel, walk along the west side of the building. Towards the north end is a set of stairs, at the bottom of which is a door directly into the Interreligious Center.
