Buddhist Meditation Classes In Great Malvern

A meditation class is held fortnightly at The Friends' Meeting House, Orchard Road, Great Malvern, on the second, fourth and fifth Mondays of each month.

Meetings in Autumn 2011 will be on September 26th, October 10th, 24th and 31st, November 14th and 28th and December 12th.

Spring dates 2012 are January  9th, 23rd and 30th, February 13th and 27th, March 12th and 26th.

Beginners to this meditation practice should arrive at 7.00 pm to be taught the various stages of the practice. More experienced meditators in this tradition arrive at 7.30 p.m. We practise together for about half an hour - everyone can participate. The group practice is followed by some discussion or talk for those who want to stay. Meditators have the opportunity to talk about their individual practice on a one-to-one basis as required.

More experienced meditators will be offered the opportunity to learn some chanting in a short session after the main meeting and to study some aspecst of Buddhist dhamma.

The Friends' Meeting House on Orchard Road is a short walk from Priory Park, or can be reached by car from Malvern town centre via Abbey Road, forking left onto Priory Road. Orchard Road is then on the left, opposite College Road.

As we sit for practice on a hard wooden floor, you should bring a yoga mat, blanket or other soft surface to sit on. There are cushions in the Meeting House.

There's no need to register for the class - just turn up! The costs of the class are met by donations - there's no fixed fee.
