Buddhist Meditation Classes In Sheffield Not to do any evil; To undertake what is good; To purify your own mind: This is the teaching of the Buddhas. (Dhammapada verse 183)
The meditation technique we use is based on mindfulness of the breath. It was introduced to this country from Thailand in the 1960's and has been taught here ever since. It is developmental and is taught in stages over several months.
Classes are normally held weekly and provide an opportunity for group practice and discussion, dhamma talks as well as individual discussion with a teacher.
There is no charge for teaching but a contribution towards room hire and expenses will be requested.
Meetings are held on Thursdays at 8 p.m in the Annexe, Ranmoor Parish Centre, 5, Ranmoor Park Road, Sheffield S10 3GX. New members are always welcome and may join the class at any time.
If you are interested in finding out more about the practice, please contact Ian Rose on 01629 814617 or at
